How to Play
Everything you need to go from "just connected" to fully geared up and earning $SOLENFROG.
Start Here: Your First Few Minutes
Click Connect Phantom or Connect Solflare on the landing page. You'll sign a message to prove you own the wallet. This never costs gas and never touches your funds. You need to be holding $SOLENFROG to get in.
You spawn in town with an empty Inventory. Walk over to the ore veins to start gathering, or visit the Workshop and Quest Board NPCs to see what's available.
Controls
- Arrow keys / WASD: move
- Click ground: walk to that point (mouse or trackpad)
- Click a node / creature / NPC / player: gather, attack, talk, or fight
- Panel headers: click to expand or collapse Inventory, Workshop, Cosmetics, Quests, Arena, Referrals
- Exit button (top of the HUD): leave gameplay and return to the landing page
Gather Resources
Town has ore veins (Iron, Copper, Gold). Travel through the portals to reach the Fishing dock and the Hunting grounds for fish, meat, and pelts. Click a node or fishing spot to gather. Nodes deplete and respawn over time.
Craft at the Workshop
Visit the Workshop NPC in town to unlock the Workshop panel. Recipes turn raw materials into bars, leather, healing items, and weapons.
Every craftable item has a rarity tier:
| Rarity | Paid with | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Gold | Iron Sword |
| Uncommon | Gold | Steel Sword |
| Rare | Gold | Silver Blade |
| Epic | Gold + $SOLENFROG | Epic Blade |
| Legendary | Gold + $SOLENFROG | Legendary Reaper |
Epic and Legendary recipes require a real on-chain $SOLENFROG payment to the treasury in addition to materials, so the strongest gear in the game is genuinely backed by the token.
Two Currencies: Gold vs $SOLENFROG
Gold is a free, in-game currency earned from quests, gathering, and selling loot, used for everyday crafting and the Town Healer. $SOLENFROG is the real on-chain token, used for premium gear, cosmetics, the Marketplace, and Arena wagers. The game never mints $SOLENFROG out of thin air; every token you earn in-game comes from another player's transaction or a referral reward funded by Gold, never printed for free.
Combat, HP, and Healing
Attacking a creature deals damage; surviving creatures retaliate. If your HP hits 0 you respawn in town at full HP, and no items are ever lost on death.
Three ways to recover HP:
- Wait it out: standing still without taking damage for a few seconds slowly regenerates HP on its own.
- Use a consumable: Bandages and Cooked Fish heal HP instantly from your Inventory.
- Visit the Healing Fountain in town: pay Gold for an instant full heal, scaled to how much HP you're missing.
The Marketplace
List any unlocked inventory item for a $SOLENFROG price. When someone buys it, payment is atomic and trustless on-chain: the buyer's tokens split automatically between the seller, the treasury, and a burn. There's no escrow step where funds can get stuck, and the item transfers once the game server observes your payment land on-chain.
The Arena & PvP Wagers
Open the Arena Wagers panel, set a $SOLENFROG amount, and create a match. Once another player joins (matching your stake), head into the Arena map and fight. Whoever lands the killing blow wins the whole pot, minus the same small fee the Marketplace charges.
Created a wager nobody joined yet? Cancel it any time from "My Matches" to get your stake back.
Quests
The Town Quest Board hands out simple objectives: gather a number of an item, defeat a number of a creature, or craft something specific. Accept a quest, complete the objective naturally while playing, then come back to claim Gold (and sometimes item) rewards.
Cosmetics
Dyes, hats, shades, and shoes change how your frog looks. They're purely visual, with no gameplay effect. Common/Uncommon/Rare cosmetics cost Gold; Epic/Legendary cosmetics cost $SOLENFROG. Equip from the Cosmetics panel once you own them.
Referrals
Open the Referrals panel for your personal invite link. When someone signs up using it for the first time, you earn Gold and so do they, a one-time bonus per friend, paid entirely in Gold so it never touches the real token supply.
